 WELCOME Minimize

Welcome to the Northern Extreme Freestyle Ski Team

Our programs off kids of all skill levels the opportunity to enjoy skiing to the MAX.

Our coaching staff concentrate on the development of ski abilities in a fun environment.  If kids want to learn New School ski tricks or learn to be an expert in the moguls, the opportunity is there.  If they simply want to ski in a very social setting without the pressure of progression or competition, that opportunity also exists.

Instead of dreading the cold of winter, your kids will learn to love the winter!

POWDER!!!!!  Hey everyone, it’s not too often I get to say this about our local hill.  I am so stoked for the new snow for the last week/weekend of training.

-Let me encourage you to get the mileage we all need on our skis by getting in as many days this week as possible.
-I will be free skiing in the mogul course and stepping the landing hill today *5:30- 9:30.  Nitehawk is promoting $20 lift tickets, I would encourage you to invite a friend?
*tonight is not scheduled program hours, please feel free to take advantage of the amazing conditions!!!!

[Coaches Corner]-
Powder Skiing 101- Powder skiing does not require any leaning back.  Contrary to the advise you might get from the lifty on ski technique, correct powder skiing is maintaining forward pressure in the front of your boots, always!  This forward pressure loads up the front of your skis with weight or force so you can carve your line down the hill, rather than lean or bank caused from leaning back.
Also, your legs get a lot less tired from being in the front seat all day, than in the back seat.

Hope this helps,

This week- regular program hours.
Wed.     6:30-8:30
Thurs.   6:30-8:30

Sat.        1-4
Sun.       1-4 (last day of training for the year, thanks for a special year on snow as a club!!!)
